Dentures from Bow House Dental, Tring, Hertfordshire

We understand that the idea of having dentures fitted may cause patients some anxiety as they may have in mind those traditional, old-fashioned denture sets that were notorious for coming loose, causing discomfort and embarrassment. Rest assured, though, that the dentures that we craft and fit to our patients are thoroughly modern, aesthetically satisfying and made to fit comfortably and firmly.

Lacking teeth can not only look unsightly and make you feel self-conscious but also cause you to have difficulties with eating and speaking. Our teeth give our faces much of their structure and support and without them we can appear older and unhealthy. At Bow House we can provide you with partial or full dentures to rejuvenate your smile and restore your self-esteem.

For patients who have lost a lot of teeth through accident or extraction due to decay or wear and tear, we are pleased to be able to provide dentures that are strong, securely-fitted and entirely natural in appearance.

Cosmetic Dentures

How does dentures work?

The dentures that are custom-made for Bow House patients are removable, though we also offer dental implants (which permanently affix dentures to the jaw) for additional peace of mind. In either case, they are crafted with great attention paid to shade and colour to make them appear as natural as possible. The care we take in taking moulds (from which the dentures are built) ensures that they will fit perfectly and feel perfectly comfortable.

If you require any extractions before your dentures are fitted, there will need to be a period of around 8 to 12 weeks whilst your mouth heals, before your dentist can take a mould. You will be fitted with a temporary set of dentures whilst your bespoke set is created from the mould.

Over time, as you age, your gums and jaw will change shape slightly and so your dentist will advise you of how often you will need to return to review the fit.
If you have several teeth that need to be replaced, contact Bow House today to discuss all of the options available to you so that we can properly advise you on the best treatment plan for you.
